The accolades include: “Domestic Dealer in Asia” at the Yacht Style Awards 2025; “Best Handover” at the Azimut Dealers Meeting; and “Leading Yachting Company” at the Navigator’s Most-Wanted Hospitality Awards 2025.

Honored at Yacht Style Awards and Navigator’s Most-Wanted Awards

At the Yacht Style Awards 2025, Tam Sơn Yachting outshone 13 leading yachting companies from major countries in the region to win the “Domestic Dealer in Asia” title—an important category that celebrates distributors with outstanding market development capabilities, exceptional customer service, and impressive sales performance. This accolade stands as a testament to Tam Sơn Yachting’s world-class operational standards and sustainable growth across Asia.

Building on this success, Tam Sơn Yachting was named “Leading Yachting Company” at the Navigator’s Most-Wanted Hospitality Awards 2025, recognizing its pioneering role in delivering luxurious yachting experiences, premium services, and unmatched professionalism for discerning clientele.

Operational Excellence Recognized in Italy

The “Best Handover” award at the Azimut Dealers Meeting (held on September 6, 2025, at Azimut’s headquarters in Avigliana, Italy) marked a special honor for Tam Sơn Yachting. This prestigious award acknowledges the most flawless yacht handover process—from technical inspections and legal preparations to comprehensive training for new owners.

The award celebrates the handover of the Azimut Grande 32 Metri superyacht in Ha Long Bay in January 2025—a moment where Italian design artistry met a UNESCO-recognized natural heritage. Tam Sơn Yachting was the only representative from Asia to be honored among 50 global distributors.

Affirming Vietnam’s Position on the Global Yachting Map

Winning three prestigious awards across different dimensions—from market development and service excellence to operational mastery—not only elevates Tam Sơn Yachting’s reputation but also contributes to positioning Vietnam’s yachting industry on the international stage.

The Legion of Honour celebrates a journey of cultural connection spanning more than three decades by Ms. Nguyễn Thị Nhung – Co-founder of Openasia.

An Evening of Warmth and Prestige at the French Embassy in Hanoi

On the evening of October 21, 2025, at the French Embassy in Hanoi, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Nhung was honored by the French Government with the title of Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur – the Knight of the Legion of Honour. This is France’s highest distinction, bestowed in recognition of her outstanding contributions to strengthening cultural and economic ties between France and Vietnam for over thirty years.

A Moment Steeped in Emotion

The ceremony unfolded in an atmosphere of elegance and intimacy, attended by family, friends, long-time colleagues, and the core team of Openasia Group. In her heartfelt speech, Ms. Nhung revisited cherished memories of her bond with France – from her first French lessons at the age of thirteen, to her years studying and working in Paris, where she met the partners who would later join her in founding Openasia.

Three decades ago, at Lazard investment bank, a fateful meeting between Ms. Nhung and her two co-founders – Christian de Ruty and Đoàn Viết Đại Từ – laid the foundation for an extraordinary journey. United by a shared aspiration, they built Openasia as a bridge between France and Vietnam, not only in business but also in culture and the arts.

Three Pillars, One Vision
Ms. Nhung and the core team of Openasia

Today, Openasia is home to more than 2,000 members who share the belief that a company can embody culture, passion, and a love for art – a philosophy nurtured by its three founders. Under their leadership, the group has developed brands that celebrate Vietnamese identity, such as Hanoia, La Table Hanoia, and Alba Wellness Valley, honoring craftsmanship, nature, and local spirit in a contemporary context.

Meanwhile, Tam Sơn – a key member of Openasia – continues to affirm its role as a cultural bridge, bringing the world’s most refined brands closer to Vietnam’s discerning clientele. Initiatives like the exhibition “Intersection of Mastery” organized by Tam Sơn vividly illustrate this vision: creating spaces where craftsmanship, art, and heritage converse and flourish.

In the moment of recognition, Ms. Nhung shared a poetic message, a gift to her companions and the generations to come:

“Les rêves sont des étoiles qu’on cueille avec le cœur, pour éclairer les chemins de demain.”

“Dreams are stars we gather with the heart, to illuminate the paths of tomorrow.”

And it is this very light – born of the heart, of dreams, and of faith in beauty – that continues to guide Openasia on its remarkable journey.

Openasia promotes physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing in celebration of World Wellness Weekend 2025 https://openasiagroup.com/openasia-promotes-physical-mental-and-emotional-wellbeing-in-celebration-of-world-wellness-weekend-2025/ https://openasiagroup.com/openasia-promotes-physical-mental-and-emotional-wellbeing-in-celebration-of-world-wellness-weekend-2025/#respond Wed, 15 Oct 2025 09:02:06 +0000 https://openasiagroup.com/?p=7323

In support of World Wellness Weekend 2025, Openasia Group and its member companies across Vietnam hosted a diverse series of activities that connect physical and mental health with environmental responsibility.

As a flagship initiative within Openasia’s broader Sustainable/ESG program, “Fitness 4 Future” brought together nearly 400 employees across the Group in a shared commitment to wellbeing and environmental action. The campaign encouraged physical activity to promote employee health, while also raising funds for reforestation and offsetting the Group’s greenhouse gas emissions.

The project aims to raise VND 75 million — equivalent to 1,500 trees — by December 31, 2025. Just one month after its launch, Fitness 4 Future has already recorded impressive results: nearly 400 participants, close to 3,000 fitness activities, and nearly 2,000 hours of training. The total amount raised has reached nearly VND 12 million, reflecting strong engagement and Openasia’s ongoing commitment to social and environmental responsibility.

In Hanoi, the spirit of sportsmanship was elevated through the Tam Sơn & Friends – Pickleball Championship. The tournament welcomed 46 participants, not only from Tam Sơn and other Openasia member companies, but also from a special circle of companions — the family members of Tam Sơn employees.

Before the tournament, athletes trained passionately for weeks on the court, meticulously preparing every “dink,” “volley,” and “serve” in anticipation of the big day. On match day, both players and supporters gave it their all — playing with relentless energy while upholding the spirit of fair play, joy, and camaraderie throughout the competition.

In Huế, World Wellness Weekend 2025 took place at Alba Wellness Valley Resort by Fusion from September 19 to 21. As the largest wellness event of the year, it offered a transformative journey of renewal for the body, mind, and spirit.

The event welcomed a wide range of customers, partners, and internal staff to participate in relaxing activities such as yoga, tai chi under the green bamboo canopy, deep acupressure therapy, and the Japanese onsen experience combined with natural hot springs. Through this event, Alba Wellness Valley reaffirmed its mission: to help people lead healthier, happier, and more mindful lives.

More than a wellness initiative, World Wellness Weekend 2025 offered Openasia members a meaningful opportunity to cultivate a sustainable future: healthy within, green beyond.

Openasia at the “Night of Ideas”: A Heartfelt Tribute to Women Who Inspire https://openasiagroup.com/openasia-at-the-night-of-ideas-a-heartfelt-tribute-to-women-who-inspire/ https://openasiagroup.com/openasia-at-the-night-of-ideas-a-heartfelt-tribute-to-women-who-inspire/#respond Wed, 15 Oct 2025 05:02:57 +0000 https://openasiagroup.com/?p=7301

On the evening of September 23, the “Night of Ideas 2025” transformed the Reception Hall of the French Embassy in Hanoi into a vibrant space of dialogue and inspiration. It was a night where pioneering women came together to share their journeys of discovery, creation, and the meaningful values they bring to life. Among the inspiring speakers, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Nhung – Founding Shareholder of Openasia Group – left a lasting impression with her heartfelt and powerful reflections.

The event “Night of Ideas 2025 | Women Who Inspire” brought together powerful voices of female empowerment, including Mrs. Jocelyne Adriant-Mebtoul, Mrs. Claudie Haigneré – the first French woman to travel into space, and Associate Professor Dr. Phan Thị Hà Dương. Each story offered a vivid glimpse into the journey of transcending limits, affirming identity, and spreading positive values throughout the community.

As a speaker, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Nhung offered a deeply personal and insightful perspective on her own journey: from a childhood dream of becoming a French teacher, to her years of teaching at the prestigious Amsterdam High School, and the life-changing decision to study in France. It was there that she, along with two close friends, Đoàn Viết Đại Từ and Christian de Ruty, co-founded Openasia Group.

Ms. Nguyễn Thị Nhung shared that whether in education or in business, the essence lies in trust and the ability to connect from one human being to another. Her approach to building relationships with partners is deeply rooted in her experience as a teacher, where empathy and mutual respect were always the foundation.

Speaking on leadership, Ms. Nhung emphasized that a woman must first learn to truly listen to herself — both physically and emotionally — in order to cultivate empathy and extend it to her team. For her, leadership is not merely a skill, but a way of life: an art of graceful and humane connection, much like the care we give to our loved ones within a family.

In particular, Ms. Nhung expressed deep empathy for the dual role of modern women: balancing professional responsibilities with caring for their families. With women making up 70% of Openasia’s workforce, she holds an even greater appreciation for the subtle art of organizing work with grace and equilibrium. Her secret, she shared, lies in the ability to accept, to nurture understanding, and to learn how to adapt to oneself rather than trying to change others.

Closing in a warm and inspiring atmosphere, the “Night of Ideas 2025” was more than a celebration of women who inspire, it was a heartfelt invitation to believe in the power of listening, of human connection, and of living authentically. It opened up space for every woman to affirm her identity in her own unique way.

HANOIA PRESS CLUB: A VIETNAMESE LACQUER LEGACY IN THE HEART OF HANOI https://openasiagroup.com/hanoia-press-club-a-vietnamese-lacquer-legacy-in-the-heart-of-hanoi/ https://openasiagroup.com/hanoia-press-club-a-vietnamese-lacquer-legacy-in-the-heart-of-hanoi/#respond Tue, 30 Sep 2025 03:51:25 +0000 https://openasiagroup.com/?p=7273

Hanoia proudly unveils its new flagship store at 12 Ly Dao Thanh, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi — where timeless charm meets modern spirit, creating a destination for those who cherish beauty and the art of craftsmanship.

Hanoia Press Club opens the door to a captivating world of Vietnamese lacquer art, from deeply traditional creations to pieces infused with contemporary flair. At Hanoia, the beauty of artisanal masterpieces is not only to be admired, but also to be felt and experienced in the most intimate way.

August 2025 marks a new chapter at Hanoia Press Club. More than just a store, it is a story about a journey through the essence of Vietnamese lacquer art, told in its most complete and heartfelt form. Located on Ly Dao Thanh Street, Hanoia stands at the intersection of Hanoi’s rich history and vibrant culture, where traditional craftsmanship is honored and the brand’s contemporary vision continues to evolve. From this very spot, one can feel the spirit of old Hanoi — the “36 guild streets,” once the heart of artisan communities and craft guilds. At the same time, one can witness a capital city in transformation, expanding with the unique architectural imprints of French-Indochinese heritage.

With the touch of G8A Architects — a globally recognized architectural studio, this space becomes a love letter to art, marking a unique intersection on Hanoi’s cultural map. Every detail speaks to the soul of a brand that has been crafting its identity since 1997. From the very façade, Hanoia captivates art lovers with a monumental red brick mural, arranged in the style of traditional luu ly ceramics. Each brick is shaped from the letter “H,” a subtle fusion of local heritage and modern aesthetics. As dusk falls, the Hanoia logo glows softly, illuminating hundreds of red tiles in harmony with a symphony of light designed by renowned Swiss artist Étienne Gillabert — whose work has graced Hermès, Balenciaga, and Van Cleef & Arpels, composing a romantic cultural signature.

Every architectural detail reflects a seamless blend of heritage and modernity. The Hanoia Press Club space carries a distinctly Vietnamese identity, yet remains ever-evolving, much like the city outside its glass windows: ancient, yet vibrant. Here, every piece of art, from accessories to fine jewelry, is thoughtfully curated and allowed to shine in its most perfect setting to date.

Beyond its main display area, Hanoia invites guests into a world of experience and discovery. A dedicated corner allows visitors to witness, and gently touch the journey of lacquer craftsmanship firsthand. For the first time in nearly two decades, Hanoia unveils the “secrets” behind the making of its creations: each step, each tool, like tiny notes composing a symphony of beauty. This miniature workshop not only reveals the meticulous artistry of Vietnamese lacquer masters, but also serves as a quiet reflection on Hanoia’s journey – a story of craftsmanship, creativity, and cultural pride shared with the world.

“Hanoia Press Club is a refreshing highlight for those who cannot resist their curiosity, constantly seeking meaning beyond the tangible,” shared a Hanoia representative. “Its design language, distilled from the brand’s product aesthetics and Vietnamese identity, whispers a quiet message to the refined sensibilities of our audience.”

Hanoia Press Club has ignited an emotionally rich artistic space in the heart of the capital, a place where beauty lovers can not only admire, but also touch and truly feel each creation. This journey of spreading beauty will soon arrive in another city, carrying Hanoia’s signature spirit of creativity, bringing art closer to every soul.

Marcel & Toong Join Openasia: Expanding a Lifestyle and Work Ecosystem https://openasiagroup.com/marcel-toong-join-openasia-expanding-a-lifestyle-and-work-ecosystem/ https://openasiagroup.com/marcel-toong-join-openasia-expanding-a-lifestyle-and-work-ecosystem/#respond Tue, 15 Jul 2025 11:28:58 +0000 https://openasiagroup.com/?p=7213

Two familiar names in the realms of dining and workspaces — Marcel & Toong — have officially become part of Openasia Group, promising to bring fresh and exciting dimensions to the group’s growing lifestyle ecosystem.

Marcel Gourmet Burger: Where every meal feels like home

The relationship between Openasia and Marcel Gourmet Burger began in 2017, when Openasia made its first strategic investment in the premium French-inspired burger brand. After seven years of growth and collaboration, Openasia officially acquired 100% of Marcel Gourmet Burger by the end of 2024, making it a full-fledged member of the group’s ecosystem.

Founded in 2017, Marcel Gourmet Burger draws inspiration from the warmth of family gatherings and the comforting flavors of traditional French kitchens. The name “Marcel” evokes a sense of nostalgia — a longing for home-cooked meals — blended with the vibrant, modern rhythm of Saigon.

Marcel stands out for its thoughtful fusion of refined French culinary heritage and local Vietnamese flair. Every dish is crafted with care and passion, using only fresh ingredients prepared daily in-house — never frozen, always made to order. Each plate tells a story of dedication and emotion, offering a dining experience that is both heartfelt and memorable.

Toong: Designing workspaces for personal growth

Openasia first invested in Toong in 2016. By the end of 2024, the group increased its ownership and took over direct operations, reaffirming its strategic vision for the future of workspaces.

Launched in the fall of 2015, Toong quickly established an impressive network of 13 distinctive locations across three cities in the Indochina Peninsula. Each Toong space is more than just an office — it is a cultural and architectural statement, deeply rooted in local identity and aesthetics.

Toong was built on a core philosophy: a workspace should first and foremost unlock the evolutionary potential of each individual — a belief that sustainable business growth begins with personal development. This is not just a slogan, but a guiding principle reflected in every design detail and daily activity within Toong’s spaces, creating an environment that inspires creativity and nurtures meaningful work.

The official integration of Marcel & Toong into Openasia is more than a business move — it is a convergence of brands that share common values. From a warm burger that feels like a home-cooked meal, to a workspace where individuals are empowered to be their true selves, both brands contribute to a holistic ecosystem where people are cared for, supported, and inspired to thrive in every moment.

A Colorful June at Openasia: Connection – Kindness – Celebration https://openasiagroup.com/a-colorful-june-at-openasia-connection-kindness-celebration/ https://openasiagroup.com/a-colorful-june-at-openasia-connection-kindness-celebration/#respond Wed, 02 Jul 2025 03:18:10 +0000 https://openasiagroup.com/?p=7156

This past June, Openasia and its member companies came together to create a month filled with meaningful moments, heartfelt connections, and vibrant energy.

On June 1st, Openasia celebrated International Children’s Day with a series of heartwarming activities. A lacquer painting workshop invited participants to decorate pencils and rabbit-shaped figures, using beautifully crafted materials provided by Hanoia. At Craftica, the atmosphere was cozy and full of smiles, as Family Day brought colleagues together through gentle games and shared moments. Meanwhile, Alba Resort was buzzing with energy, offering hands-on workshops like kite-making, stone painting, and sand art—simple yet joyful experiences that lit up the day for both children and adults.

In celebration of Pride Month, Openasia’s Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City offices embraced a more vibrant look on June 11th, with rainbow flags, cheerful photobooths, and a colorful array of accessories for colleagues to capture joyful, memorable moments together. Across other locations, symbolic gifts tucked inside Blind Boxes were shared with team members—spreading the spirit of Pride and honoring individuality in a warm, thoughtful way. At La Table Hanoia, the message “Be You – Be Your Colors” came to life through multicolored sticky notes, inviting everyone to write down a personal message of pride and self-expression. The Pride spirit also reached Alba Hotels in Hue, where a fun mini game helped raise awareness and understanding of the LGBTQIA+ community.

To wrap up a meaningful month of activities, Openasia marked both Global Wellness Day and International Yoga Day on June 21st. In Hanoi, a yoga workshop led by Master Shakti offered a well-rounded experience with guided sessions, a Q&A, and fun mini games. Meanwhile, Alba Hotels and Alba Resort hosted yoga classes for guests, creating space for relaxation and mindfulness. Adding a special touch, Alba Resort wove the spirit of Pride Month into the practice space with rainbow-themed decorations and a calming Rainbow Meditation session—offering a unique and inclusive wellness experience.

The June activities brought not only joy, but also reflected Openasia’s commitment to building a workplace rooted in connection—where every individual is heard, respected, and encouraged to grow, both physically and emotionally.

OPENASIA GROUP BRINGS HOPE WITH NEW BOARDING SCHOOL KITCHEN FOR STUDENTS AFFECTED BY TYPHOON YAGI 2024 https://openasiagroup.com/openasia-group-brings-hope-with-new-boarding-school-kitchen-for-students-affected-by-typhoon-yagi-2024/ Mon, 16 Jun 2025 09:58:58 +0000 https://openasiagroup.com/?p=7112
With support from the Openasia community, in collaboration with the Vietnam Red Cross, the Yen Bai Provincial Red Cross, and the local Department of Education, a brand-new semi-boarding kitchen at Dong Cuong Primary and Secondary School in Van Yen District, Yen Bai Province was completed and officially opened on June 3, 2025.

Dong Cuong School, home to over 1,100 students across 33 classes and three campuses (A, B, and C), was severely impacted by Typhoon Yagi (Typhoon No. 3). Among the damaged facilities was the semi-boarding kitchen at Campus C—a vital space for students who rely on daily meals at school. Previously, the school had to make do with a temporary kitchen built from concrete bricks and corrugated iron, with basic cooking tools and an outdoor food prep area exposed to the elements—far from ideal in terms of hygiene and safety.

The old kitchen: wood-fired stoves, a cramped outdoor prep area under a tin roof—barely enough to meet the needs of hundreds of children.

In May 2025, a new kitchen was completed at Campus C, spanning 65 square meters and built to meet the Ministry of Education and Training’s “one-way kitchen” standards. This ensures a safe and hygienic workflow—from food preparation to cooking and distribution—giving students not just meals, but dignity and care.

This meaningful project was made possible after Openasia Group signed a cooperation agreement with the Central Vietnam Red Cross and the provincial chapter, paving the way for the kitchen’s construction and its alignment with national standards.

Beyond the kitchen itself, Openasia Group also provided essential equipment to support daily cooking and student welfare, including: one rice-cooking cabinet, three industrial gas stoves, and 60 gift packages for students facing hardship.

More than just infrastructure, Openasia’s support extended to school supplies—small items that carry big hopes for the future.

At the inauguration ceremony, Ms. Ngo Van Anh, CEO of Openasia Group, shared with emotion: “This is more than just a new kitchen. It is a symbol of unity, of compassion, and of the belief that when we come together, kindness will ripple outward and touch many lives.”

The new kitchen at Dong Cuong School is part of Openasia Group’s broader social responsibility efforts, aimed at improving learning and living conditions for students in underserved areas. It stands as a testament to the Group’s enduring commitment to walking alongside communities on the journey toward sustainable development.
